Music and Social Justice

Created by students in Shannon Jacob’s spring 2024 Music and Social Justice (AADS 2204) course, the assignment required students to select a conflict or social movement and identify artist(s) whose music responded to it. Students were asked to immerse themselves in a chosen artist’s work and examine major developments in the conflict or social movement that occurred alongside the artist’s music.
